Stop me if this sounds familiar. Rolling Stone just released their “50 Best Albums of 2012″ list and Frank Ocean’s Channel ORANGE took the #2 spot! The top spot went to Bruce Sprngsteen for his latest effort “Wrecking Ball”. Here’s what Rolling Stone had to say:

Ocean made headlines because of his sexuality, but he made history with this music. The 25-year-old singer’s second album is the most exciting R&B breakthrough in recent memory; Ocean evokes L.A. decadence (“Super Rich Kids”), his stripper girlfriend (the nine-minute “Pyramids”) and crushing out on a guy (“Bad Religion”) over plush, dark-tinted grooves that update Stevie and Marvin for the post-Drake era. His brags about his “great gray matter” aren’t just geek-chic bluster: Channel Orange unfurls new mysteries with every listen.

In the last week alone Channel ORANGE has been ranked #1 by PASTE Magazine and SPIN, with TIME Magazine ranking it #3.

Most importantly, last nights GRAMMY award nominations proved the musc industry is paying attention. Frank Ocean walked away with 6 nominations in total for his work including Album of the Year, Best New Artist and Record of the Year.
